[1.1] Have respect for each and every person regardless of who they are, what they play, or why they play. Flaming or abusing users or staff will not be tolerated.
[1.2] Always strive to help make IGF Gaming an open and welcoming community to all. From simply welcoming new members to helping make change by voicing your thoughts, submitting suggestions, engaging in proactive discussion, and more. There are so many ways you can help contribute to our awesome community, you just need to have the initiative and tenacity to put those into effect. We strongly encourage everyone to get involved!
[1.3] Personal attacks, racism, flaming, and other forms of discrimination in a public atmosphere (defined below) will be removed without warning. Users or Staff who violate this rule will be punished accordingly.
[1.3.1] To clarify, this includes, but is not limited to, public Teamspeak channels such as the Lounges, public operations channels/offices, public Discord chats (such as #general-chat), and public forum sections.
[1.4] Unsolicited representation of International Gamer's Federation or any affiliate or Division is strictly prohibited regardless of circumstance. Potential advertisements must be approved by a Community Management member before being posted. Users who violate this rule will face immediate disciplinary action.
[1.4.1] To clarify, this does not include personal Youtube or Twitch videos/streams. The purpose of this rule is to void the possibility of users posing as an official entity of the community.
[1.5] Permanent ban evasion, for bans stemming from particular circumstances, is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate firewall ban. This includes previous bans made prior to the switch to our current forum system. Firewall ban appeals are not permitted and creating alternate identities (forum account, TS3 identity), using VPNs to circumvent punishment, or attempting to appeal it via alternate platforms is also prohibited.
[1.5.1] Definition of ban evasion: Creating an alternate identity or using alternate methods (IE: VPN) to avoid punishment.
[1.5.2] The Board of Governors maintains the right to create exceptions in certain circumstances where deemed appropriate. These exceptions will be granted on a case by case basis and are never precedent for another individual's appeal.
[1.6] Any threats or attempts to disrupt normal operations of any [IGF] service will be met with immediate and permanent removal from our community with no chance of appeal. We here at [IGF] take such threats extremely seriously and we will not hesitate to work with law enforcement to ensure the threat is dealt with.
Note: Denial of Service Attacks are illegal under most federal laws. As noted in the registration terms, IGF Gaming is governed by the laws of Canada. Please see the Criminal Code of Canada, Section 342. Unauthorized Use of Computer. Section 342.1 and 430 section 1 (c). for definitions and penalties. In the United States (D)DOS attacks may be considered a federal crime under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
[1.7] Advertising any non-IGF service (website, forums, social media, servers, etc.) is strictly prohibited and will be met with permanent removal without chance of appeal.
[1.7.1] To clarify, in-game or forum advertisements of a group contained within [IGF] such as a business, gang, or social group is 100% permitted and encouraged.
[1.8] Under no circumstance is hacking, glitching, scripting, or abusing any bugs condoned.
[1.9] Administrative Staff reserve the right to remove any player indefinitely with valid reason(s). If you believe you have been wrongfully removed, please submit a ban appeal.
[1.9.1] Administrative Staff rulings are at the sole discretion of that staff member.
[1.9.2] All Administrative Staff rulings are final unless overruled by the Chief Justice or a member of the community Management Team.
[1.10] Impersonation of any player, staff member, or affiliate is strictly prohibited.
[1.11] [IGF] Staff play on our servers, and do not 'abuse' administrative tools while we play. Our tools are only ever used if required to, which are disabled them the issue(s) have been resolved. Do not accuse staff of ‘abusing their powers’ unless you know and have proof that they are; see @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) if you have evidence of any staff member abusing powers.
[1.12] Continuous trolling, obnoxiousness, or counterproductive behavior is against the rules and may result in administrative action.
[1.13] Donors are still subject to all regular rules and punishments for rule infractions are consistent across the board. Refunds cannot be issued even if banned.
[1.13.1] Donation rules are covered in our terms of service - something all players agree to when they register.

[2.1] Please note that each division may have additional, specific rules for Teamspeak. You must abide by all applicable rules when on Teamspeak.
[2.2] Please check the status (if applicable) and description of a channel before you join it.
[2.2.1] If there are any channel rules outlined in the description, please follow them accordingly.
[2.2.2] However, channel rules may not circumvent the rules outlined here. Please request to speak to an administrator if you have any questions.
[2.3] The following is a list of exemptions for Teamspeak / Discord rules and rule [1.3]:
- "The Rage Cage" Teamspeak channel
- Private, locked Teamspeak donor channels
- Gang / Business Teamspeak channels
- Private, locked Discord channels or groups
[2.3.1] Any channel not compliant with the standards above is considered to be a public channel unless otherwise stated in that channel's description.
[2.3.2] While we do not require adherence to the community rules within channels paid for by donations, you are required to adhere to the community standards for anything that is able to be seen by the public without entering the channel. This includes the name of the channel, the description, the topic, the icon and channel images within the description. This also includes any changes of client names within the donor channels.
[2.4] The use of soundboards and voice changers are prohibited in public channels. Please see rule [2.2] for a list of exemptions to this rule.
[2.5] Playing music is prohibited in public channels. Please see rule [2.2] for a list of exemptions to this rule.
[2.6] Discussion on Discord in certain public channels deemed to be spam, trolling, advertising, inappropriate (NSFW, warez, piracy, links to phishing sites, etc.) is not acceptable, and discussion that is deemed as such will be removed and the user will be punished accordingly.
[3.1] Posts/threads deemed to be spam, trolling, advertising, inappropriate (NSFW, warez, piracy, links to phishing sites, etc.) or entirely off-topic are not acceptable, and posts/threads that are deemed as such will be removed and the user will be punished accordingly.
[3.2] Do not comment on applications or appeals that do not directly involve you.
[3.2.1] [IGF] Member and relevant staff applications are exempt from this.
[3.2] Do not intentionally falsify, counterfeit, or exaggerate any applications or appeals.
