Arma 3 DayZ Exile

It is the year 2018; the world has just experienced a devastating zombie apocalypse. It is the result of an intense American invasion of the Russian territory of Napf.

Two years earlier, you were exiled to the island after committing crimes against the Russian Government. Because of this, you were freed by the Americans from state prison after the invasion. The fallout from the war has mutated and irradiated most people beyond recognition... You must attempt to rebuild and restore old world values. Good luck survivor.

  1. WRITTEN DECEMBER 5, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) LAST EDITED: 12/05/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] Thank you for your interest and continued support of the International Gamers Federation! Please note that this article only includes information about the application process for the Department of Human Services team. The link to the actual application is at the bottom of this page. SECTION #1: BACKGROUND INFORMATION We do our best to continually maintain a strong, consistent, informative, and fair staff team. We hold our staff to the highest standards around, and therefore we have a rigorous application process. We encourage all members to - at some point - apply to become a staff member if they meet the requirements listed below. This guide will walk you through the application process, benefits of being a staff member, and more. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please PM @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) with DOHS APP at the start of the title. We have a six tier structure (with multiple divisions) for our DoHS team (listed in descending order below). All successful applicants start off as a Junior Support Staff and with enough experience, can work their way up the ladder - we do our best to create and maintain a dynamic atmosphere for our staff, and we recognize and reward those who work hard. Board of Governors Department Head of Human Services (aka the 'lead support of IGF') Assistant Dept Head of H.S. [currently unoccupied] Senior Support Staff Support Staff Junior Support Staff SECTION #2: REQUIREMENTS This section outlines the requirements applicants must meet before applying. Exemptions may be made at the discretion of the Department Head of Human Services (@Otto Rosmarus (Walrus)) on a case-by-case basis. The outcome of one DoHS application should never be precedent for another. Applicants must be at least 15 years old at the time of application submission. Applicants are not required to be current IGF members but must be active on our services. Applicants must be able to speak fluently and write coherently in English. Applicants must have a working microphone and have basic understanding of how to use Teamspeak. Applicants must be willing if able to dedicate some of their free time to perform their duties and assist players. Applicants must display positive work ethic and patience. We strive on promoting and maintaining a professional, friendly discourse with our players. SECTION #3: THE APPLICATION PROCESS Once the outlined requirements have been checked off, you are encouraged to submit an application (link at the bottom). We wish you the very best of luck. Once our team has received your application, we will notify you that it is under review. You can now sit back and wait. Our management team and other support staff members will deliberate and ultimately vote on whether you application should be approved or not. Once a verdict is reached, the Department Head of Human Services will contact you and notify you of the outcome. If approved, we will setup a meeting with you to conduct an interview. If your app is declined, it will be archived and you will not be able to submit an application until we reset the module. This is typically done once or twice per month. Please do not contact staff questioning when the module will be reset. SECTION #4: SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS ARE BRIEFLY INTERVIEWED If you are successful with the application, we will work with you to schedule a brief, informal interview to go over the application once more, get to know you better, and ask some questions. A panel of staff from your division and at least one member from the Management team will field a wide variety of questions to assess your understanding of our rules, roleplay, and more. These questions include rule interpretations, assessment of experience, possible IGR situations, roleplay scenarios, and more. Interviews can last upwards of thirty (30) minutes, so please prepare accordingly. Support Staff interviews are much more informal compared to either Developer or Administrative position interviews. SECTION #5: SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER Be yourself - don't pretend to be someone you're not, we seriously value honesty. If you're not successful, please do not take it personally. We are constantly working to ensure we have the strongest, fairest, most consistent staff team around, so standards are set very high. Participating in events, being engaged on the forums, and socializing is a great way to get noticed by a lot of people! Don't be shy, we're all friends here! We love it when people get involved! Prior support experience is NOT required, we can provide training to successful applicants. Referrals from active staff are by no means necessary. Be thorough and provide as many details as possible for all answers. I hope this gets you interested in considering a staff application. We are always looking to expand our talented team, and you might just be the newest addition. I sincerely hope you consider applying to join our staff team! I wish you the very best of luck Have a great day! CLICK HERE TO START YOUR APPLICATION

  3. WRITTEN DECEMBER 5, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) LAST EDITED: 12/05/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] We look to create the best possible gaming environment for all of our players. We aim to make IGF a second home for many. Our various servers have a comprehensive set of rules to help build the foundation for a experience, but much of it falls on you, the players. Sometimes, people push the limits, or engage in detrimental behaviors. This can range from overly toxic remarks, to breaking RP, to cheating, glitching, and more. This is not acceptable; however, while we maintain an active and engaged staff team, we may not always have staff online on some of our servers, so it is up to our awesome community to report rule infractions. We take player reports very seriously and each one is independently reviewed and verified by at least one senior staff member. We certainly do not encourage back-seat moderating or vigilantism, but a reasonable effort should be made by both parties to come to a resolution before a report is filed. Whether it be meeting up on Teamspeak to talk about it, PMing on Discord or the forums, etc; Options are available for you, it is up to you to use them. Please note that this is not mandatory by any means, but we encourage peaceful resolutions before coming to staff. FILING AN OFFICIAL REPORT Reporting a player on the forums is very straightforward, but it needs to be as detailed as possible. It is important to remember that all staff have to go off of is what you or someone else writes, so it is crucial that you be as detailed as possible. Video or picture evidence is not necessary in most cases, but it will make bringing a case against someone else significantly harder. If video evidence is available, we ask you to upload it and include it with your player report. We advise all players to record all gameplay while on our servers. It allows you to save memorable moments and, in an unfortunate event, have evidence in the off-chance you need to submit a compensation request or player report. EXAMPLE REASONS FOR FILING A REGULAR REPORT This is just some generic examples - by no means is this a full list. Reasons for filing reports are at the player's discretion, but may be approved or denied on a case-by-case basis. One report should never be precedent for filing another. Overly toxic remarks / general disrespect The user is clearly going out of their way in an attempt to create a toxic atmosphere. This could include flaming, excessive swearing, racist/sexist/homophobic/etc remarks, and more. Breaking rules or circumvention of rules This is pretty self-explanatory. If you're unsure whether a certain rule (or set of rules) was broken, consult a staff member (DoJ). Breaking RP/Fail RP/Poor conduct The user is engaging in behavior that is detrimental to the RP environment Impersonation of a staff member or IGF member + more. We will add more reasons as we get input (or examples) from you all. REPORTING STAFF Under no circumstance does the Community Management Team tolerate disrespectful behavior or actions by staff towards players. In the unfortunate event that you feel the need to report one of our staff members, do not use this form, and instead file a request to speak with a Governor form. All staff complaints are handled directly by the Board of Governors. LASTLY... If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about filing a player report, please seek out a senior level staff member or management team member. CLICK HERE TO FILE A PLAYER REPORT
  4. WRITTEN DECEMBER 5, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) LAST EDITED: 12/05/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] That's a great question! First off, welcome to the International Gamers Federation! So, what is an [IGF] Member & why would I want to be one? An IGF Member is an individual who has spent some time on our servers and wants to give back or participate in exclusive discussions, closed testing, and more. Our group of members is a tightly knit community of dedicated IGF players that helps builds the foundation we're built upon. These members know the ins and outs of the International Gamers Federation, and are a very helpful resource for those starting off with us. While it is, in essence, an invite-only group, they do their best to mingle with new players and form lasting bonds. Becoming an IGF Member is your gateway to being able to apply to become a member of our fantastic staff team. What's the difference between an [IGF] Member & a Senior [IGF] Member? Nothing significant. The reasoning for the Senior title is to pay tribute to members who have been with us for a long time or contributed in a variety of ways. The main idea surrounding the Senior Member rank is for those members to help new players get oriented and ensure they feel welcomed into the community. That's not to say our regular members or other players will not do that (we hope they do! ), but it allows new players to find people who aren't necessarily staff (we argue some people may hesitate to go to staff for questions) who have significant experience and insight into IGF. Senior Member titles are given out by the Management Team. How do I apply to become an [IGF] Member? It's a pretty straight-forward process to become a member, you need to complete just two steps: All applicants must have an active, current [IGF] Member 'refer' you - that is, they go and throw their support behind you. They believe you'd be a good fit in our group. If you apply and do not have a referral, it will be closed. Once you've gotten a referral, you can submit your application here. There is no interview, just a 5-10 minute application. Once you've submitted your application, it will become visible to our current members, and they will be able to discuss and vote on your application. I've been referred and have applied, what now? Nothing! You can sit back and relax while our current members discuss and vote on whether they believe you are a good fit for the group. After all, many of our members go on to become staff and represent the International Gamers Federation in the public domain. Applications are typically discussed and voted on for a few days after your submission. Once discussion starts to drop off, a member of our Management Team will count the votes, make a last call, and approve or deny the applications. If your application is approved, you'll receive a congratulations and welcome PM and be given [IGF] Member tags on our forums, Teamspeak, and Discord. This will enable you to view/enter the member only chat/voip channels, and participate in member-only discussion. If your application is denied, you will be notified by the management member that delivered the verdict, and you'll be welcomed to re-apply two weeks following your submission. You can re-apply as many times as you'd like, as long as you wait two weeks between each submission. Each application will be moved to archives visible to all IGF members once it has been closed - regardless of whether it has been approved or deny. Some quick notes: It is recommended that you do not go fishing for referrals. If you form a special bond with a member, it will come naturally - if not, drop a few hints Openly asking random members for a referral may work, but it is more likely to reflect negatively on your application. Participating in events, being engaged on the forums, and socializing is a great way to get noticed by a lot of members! Don't be shy! Please do not message management staff regarding the status of your application, you will hear from us as soon as we reach a verdict. LINK TO MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION [COMING SOON] We hope you consider applying to become an IGF Member! We wish you the very best of luck Have a great day!

  10. WRITTEN NOVEMBER 29, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) LAST EDITED: 11/29/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] Joining the International Gamers Federation Staff Team Thanks for your interest in joining our renowned Staff Team! We wish you the very best! Some background Our incredible staff are the backbone of our community. They work together with their peers and players to create an awesome atmosphere each and every time here at IGF. We have 4 staff teams here: the Department of Justice (DoJ) is responsible for all administrative matters. The Department of Infrastructure (DoINF) is responsible for service development. The Department of Human Services (DoHS) is responsible for technical support. Finally, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) is responsible for public relations - advertising, social media promotion, etc. One thing is for sure, our team is dedicated to making IGF the premier gaming community, and we'd love to have you join! Stage 1: Requirements for joining the [IGF] Staff Team We have a fairly straightforward set of requirements for applicants to meet before submitting an application to join the team. You must be at least 16 years old at the time of application submission. You must be able to write and speak English fluently. You must be willing (and able) to dedicate a portion of your free time to undertake your role as a Staff Member. While on duty, you must also be able to drop everything to help others if asked. You must be able to be active on or monitor the Forums, Teamspeak, Discord, and game servers on a regular basis. A positive work ethic, patience, and maturity is a necessity. *Previous staff experience is not required, but is an asset. *Current [IGF] staff are welcome to hold multiple staff positions (IE: developer + support) It is recommended that applicants receive a referral from an active Staff Member before applying. This is not required, but it is recommended! Stage 2: The Application Process Once you have met the requirements listed above, you're now welcome to submit your application. The link to each entry position application is available below: DEPARTMENT (team) | Entry level position | Link DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE | ArmA 3 Life or Minecraft Moderator | [INSERT LINK] As a moderator, you ensure players understand and follow the server rules accordingly. You answer questions to the best of your ability, and defer players to higher ranking staff if necessary. Your duties may include the following: awarding compensation, enforcing rules, answering questions, summoning players to Teamspeak, reviewing player reports, monitoring RCON, and more. Moderators do not have the ability to ban players. DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES | Junior Support | [INSERT LINK] As a Junior Support member, you assist players with technical issues they may encounter while attempting to use our services. Your duties may include the following: creating guides/tutorials for users to follow, resolving technical issues, answering questions on Teamspeak and the Forums, conducting research to find solutions, and more. DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE | Junior Developer | [INSERT LINK] As a Junior Developer, you work to create, maintain and update our services. Under the directives of a Developer, you complete tasks assigned to you. Tasks can range from coding, testing/debugging, changelog updates, creating devblogs, and more. DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS | Content Creator | [INSERT LINK] As a content creator, you maintain and promote [IGF] related content. From posting on our social media pages, to running official streams, and more. Foreign Affairs staff are often the first [IGF] Staff prospective players will encounter, so professionalism, maturity, and compassion is a must. All applications should be truthful and honest - we do our very best to be truthful, honest, and transparent with you, so please respect that and do the same for us. Providing false or misleading information on your staff application may lead to it being denied, and may potentially bar you from submitting future applications. Always include as much detail as you can! We likely know who you are, but other staff may not, so please provide as much detail as you think is necessary. Once you've submitted your application, active staff and the Community Management Team will carefully review it and provide feedback. Only you and other staff will be able to view your application while it is under review. This process generally takes a couple of days to complete. Once it is approved or rejected, it will be moved to the public archives. You will be notified by a member of the Community Management team once a verdict is reached. Stage 3: Interview Panel If your application is successful, you will be contacted once a verdict is reached to set-up an interview appointment with a small panel of staff from your chosen Department, and at least one member of the Community Management Team. We will do our best to provide you with accommodation during this time - if you need to reschedule an interview, please alert the interview panel as soon as possible. During this interview, you will be asked a variety of questions (depending on your chosen position) related to your position and duties. All questions are fairly straightforward, and if you have studied, they should not be overly difficult to answer. At the end of the interview, the panel will hold a quick private discussion to review the application and answers from the interview. Once they have reached their verdict, they will re-join you and deliver their response. If you are successful, you will be offered a position on the staff team in your chosen Department*. Subsequent training will be provided at your earliest convenience. * In some cases, the panel may recommend you for a different position if they deem it necessary. This is handled on a case-by-case basis by the lead interviewer. Quick notes: Participating in events, being engaged on the forums, and socializing is a great way to get noticed by a lot of people! Don't be shy! We love it when people get involved! Please do not message Department or Management Staff regarding the status of your application, you will hear from us as soon as we reach a verdict. I hope this gets you interested in considering a staff application. We are always looking to expand our talented team, and you might just be the newest addition. I sincerely hope you consider applying to join our staff team! I wish you the very best of luck

We have a fantastic community, and it is a pleasure to work with our players to help build something special. If it is a personal / confidential matter, please PM me (@Otto Rosmarus (Walrus)) directly with the following in the message title: DONATIONS - [insert question / comment] Please see the Terms of Service (linked above) for rules about donations, charge backs, and more. 13. WRITTEN NOVEMBER 29, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) & @Robert Vicks (gamerz971) LAST EDITED: 11/29/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] Our Monetization Policy | Donate to IGF GAMING | Our Terms of Service Here at the International Gamers Federation, we pride ourselves on promoting and maintaining a completely open and honest approach to leadership. Our community is one that is run by the players, therefore we strongly believe that it is your right to know exactly what we do with all donations we receive. Every single penny that we receive is used towards our services in some fashion. Donations received will never be used in a manner to profit from, ever. All donations that we receive are and will be used for the sole purpose to continually improve our community. Our main priority is to fund our monthly bills. On the donation page, you can see our current monthly expenses broken down individually by the specific service. After achieving our donation goal or by using the monthly reserve fund, we then begin to allocate funds elsewhere other than our bills. Here are a few examples: Purchasing Widgets, Addons / Plugins for our website Purchasing themes and skins for our website Upgrading our monthly bandwidth for this website (important as we grow) Buying paid products for our services Custom Paid scripts by third-party developers Custom Paid models by third-party developers Custom plugins by third-party developers Upgrading our Teamspeak License (important as we grow) Purchasing more domains Paying third-party or freelance developers to help improve our services As stated above, at no point will any of our members, staff, or leadership pocket/profit from any donations. We are not here for money; we are here to provide and experience an unmatched gaming experience and community for all to participate in. While any and all donations are greatly appreciated, it is never required from anyone. Using our services are completely free and donating will not give you any sort of power to dominate over the rest. We maintain a level playing ground for all, and do not support any sort of play-to-win scheme. Monthly expense reports will be available with our monthly newsletter once we begin distributing those. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding how the International Gamers Federation uses it's donations, please do not hesitate to contact @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) or @Robert Vicks (gamerz971). Thank you for your time. Have a great day!
  14. WRITTEN NOVEMBER 29, 2018 by @Otto Rosmarus (Walrus) LAST EDITED: 12/04/2018 [MM/DD/YYYY] ADDRESS: play.igfgaming.net // OR // 142.44.213.232 CURRENT VERSION: 3.3.1 DON'T HAVE TEAMSPEAK? DOWNLOAD IT HERE! https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads After downloading and setting up Teamspeak on your respective platform, open the application, navigate to - and click on - the 'Bookmarks' tab located in the top left-hand corner. Something similar to this (below) should pop up. Enter the following information... Note that your GUI may not look exactly like this, but the information is all the same. Once you have entered the required information, click 'Ok'. This will close the dialogue window. To actually connect to TS now, navigate back to the 'Bookmarks' tab, hover over it, and the International Gamers Federation [or whatever you enter] should pop up - click on it. This should automatically connect you. HAVING ISSUES CONNECTING TO TS? First, check to see if our Teamspeak Server is up - 99.99% of the time, it is, so it's likely not your issue, but we like to make sure we cover all of our bases. You can check by viewing the service status module the main forum page. If you're still having issues, worry not, you still have a few options. Attempt to join Teamspeak by clicking HERE [ts3server://142.44.213.232]. This is an automatic (safe) url that launches your TS3 application and automatically connects you. Ask on Discord - chances are someone else may have experienced your issue or knows how to resolve it. You'll get the fastest responses from other players or staff there. Ask on the Forums. Check the F.A.Q. Google it. WHY TEAMSPEAK? IT'S SIMPLE. We use Teamspeak over other VOIP services because of the higher quality codec, increased utility (we can use TFR with it), and it allows us to spread things out a little more. While it is an additional cost, we firmly believe that Teamspeak is our best option for the type of community and atmosphere IGF supports.
  15. So, last night my group had a great encounter with one of our new players. It was pouring rain, getting dark, and my group - @Joe Oakley @Justin Carter @Brad Lee and myself - had just finished a bandit occupation mission. What came next was pretty memorable... After flying directly over the mission to engage from the air, we landed in a field on the outskirts of a nearby town. We left our UH1Y, and moved in on foot to engage the bandits. Within a few seconds of cresting a hill on the opposite side of the town, we took heavy suppressive fire from a technical as well as direct fire from nearby bandits. We immediately suffered a few casualties and one fatality, but were able to recover after one of us performed CPR to resuscitate the fatality. We regrouped near a large tree, bandaged up, and rehashed our plan. Oakley and Carter stayed put while Brad (Putin) and I advanced to the next tree line. They laid down suppressive fire and popped smoke to cover us and divert the bandit's attention while we pushed forward. It was a great success, and it allowed me to get into a safe position where I could fire off the MAAWS launcher I'd recovered on a previous mission. I landed a shot adjacent to the technical, so as to not blow it up but neutralize the bandits in it and adjacent to it. This, combined with sniper fire by Carter and Oakley allowed us to quickly clear all the bandits. We pushed forward and secured the loot and technical. Unfortunately Arma decided to be Arma. The vehicle glitched out, went beserk, and killed three of us. Thankfully, Carter, the last standing member, had a defib and was able to resuscitate all of us... We loaded up all the loot, and were preparing to head back to the helicopter to evac. However, Arma again showed it's nasty ass head and the vehicle disappeared into the ground... Around the same time that happened, I got a notification from the heli saying that someone else entered it. In a panic, I told everyone to high-tail it back to the helicopter so we could secure it. Oakley and Carter were quick to set off but Putin had encountered some issues, so I momentarily stayed behind to help him. By the time we got going, the others were a few hundred meters ahead. We chugged back some RedGulls and got going. Oakley and Carter set up behind cover on the west side of town, our heli was to the south. Perhaps what ended up being our saving grace was that the heli slid down the hill and partially into a wall, rendering it temporarily immobile. Had it not, I wouldn't be here telling this story. After getting into position, both Carter and Oakley made visual contact with the thief, and when Carter bounded to a new position for a better line of sight, he was spotted. On our run back, I instructed the others not to engage unless we were engaged... Well, being DayZ, you can probably guess what happened. Two shots rang out and hit the wall Carter was moving towards. Oakley returned fire, neutralizing the target in mere seconds. By now, Putin and I had caught up to the others, and together we moved in ensuring that he didn't have any nearby accomplices. Oakley moved in, and started talking to the unconscious survivor, I moved in and started performing CPR while the other two covered us. I successfully revived the survivor, who came to extremely shaken and confused - surrounded by 4 heavily armed survivors. We ordered him to keep his weapon pointed down, which he thankfully complied with. We allowed him to retrieve the weapon he'd just tried to kill one of us with, and started talking. We learned that he'd only recently gotten away from the coast, and was just starting to move inland. He was a new player. After a few minutes of talking, something happened. A horde of more than 25 zombies came pouring around a corner of a nearby building. We quickly mobilized and got into position. An intense battle commenced, and after a minute or two, we emerged victorious, suffering no casualties. The survivor thanked us dearly and apologized for shooting at us, stating that he was just scared. We accepted his apology, and wished him well. He said he was going to a nearby military base, some 4 kilometers away... We don't know if he survived or not, but we hope he did. Even though our server is still in development, this was an incredible moment and one that I will not soon forget. It was unique and felt very special. @Dust Thanks man, our encounter with you made our night. I look forward to many, many more moments like this, and I hope that this entices some of you to get on and join in the action. If you have any stories or moments from our Exile DayZ server, let us know, we'd love to hear it! See you around
